Policy of the Safety, Health and Environment System

Quality Procedure:

1. General:

Compliance with all laws and standards relating to safety, health and environment.

Setting annual targets and goals on issues of safety, health and environment. The targets and goals will be set in the annual review by management, will be operative and measurable, and a plan for their attainment will be prepared.

Maintenance of processes for constant improvement in safety and environmental issues.

2. Management of Safety and Health:

Maintenance of a system of safety and health management according to OHSAS 18001.

Use of materials safe for the workers and neutralization of sources of danger at work. If any dangerous material is used, all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the safety and health of the worker.

Use and development of technologies and production equipment which support and are fitted with all means necessary to ensure the workers' safety.

Maintenance of in-plant communication procedures and measures to ensure workers' participation in locating sources of danger and in safety planning.

Maintenance of procedures for communication with external institutions (law and law-enforcement, Ministry of Labor, the institute of safety and health etc.) regarding all aspects of safety and health.

Participation in activities contributing and fostering safety awareness in the community.

3. Environmental Management:

Maintenance of a system of environmental management according to ISO 14001.

Use of materials friendly to the environment, maximal neutralization/recycling of by-products emitted by production processes.

Use and development of service and equipment systems in manufacturing processes that support the prevention of environmental damage (sewage / filters / recycling...).

Development of the relationship with the community (particularly with Kibbutz Cabri), participation through initiative and contribution - for the enhancement of the community and the environment.

Maintenance of procedures of communication and training within (employees) and without (community, suppliers, customers, law enforcement) the plant relating to environmental conservation.
